My 2021 Fall Outdoor Decor

Hi there! Heads up: I’ve included some affiliate links in this post. Using them gives me a small commission and I appreciate your support!

Last Fall was all about reds and oranges for my outdoor decor. This year was all about the purples! To be honest, I’ve been a bit obsessed with every and anything purple, so having the color shine outdoors was a natural move. This project lasted the whole month of October, not because it was complicated, but because that’s what my schedule would allow.

I started things off earlier in the Fall season by going to my local Garden Center to purchase two huge purple mums. However, instead of leaving them in their pots, I decided to plant them in the ground to be the show stoppers in both of my garden beds and front entryway.

For the top landing step, I wanted to have a few more mums on either side of the door. Unfortunately, when I returned to the same Garden Center in late October, all but yellow mums were gone. (This was the case for every other local Garden Center that I called that week.) I happened to be driving by my local Lowes and decided just to see what their Garden Center had. To my surprise and relief, Lowes not only had purple mums, but they also had an assortment of pumpkins, haystacks, and other Fall decor left. So I grabbed a couple of purple and white mums from there, as well as some mini pumpkins.

With the white mums, I created planters from some pumpkins we had picked weeks prior. I placed the purple mums inside a couple of black, textured planters that I found on clearance at At Home. Then, I added the mini pumpkins to the front steps to really bring in all the Fall feels.

The last item I added was a beautiful, modern orange wreath that I found on clearance at Michaels. I put this up on my black front door to tie everything together. And there you have it: Fall vibes right at my doorstep!

What colors did you use to decorate your front porch or entryway this Fall?
